This late post tells our vacation from Bali to Gili..We booked cheap flight AirAsia somewhere in last July 2011, it cost idr 988K for 2 person..
Day 1.
We flew to Bali on 19 Feb'12, booked nice hotel from agoda named D'abode Boutique near Sanur Beach. Arrived hotel at midnight, and got a lovely birthday wish from my beloved husband.. yeap, 20th Feb is my Birthday. And now im 31 !! Double Happines in this date, my brithday and,,, my wedding anniversary ..
hehehe...
Eventough I got no birthday gift from him, i suprised my husband, by showing him a Hotel Voucher in Gili Trawangan, Lombok.... yeap, he seems suprised, too bad he's not that kind a romantic person, he only kissed me by saying "Thank You cayaanng..." .. *sigh... :(I managed all transportation, from our fast boat from Bali to Gili, Hotel and ticket flight from Lombok to JKT, and he didnt know a thing ! Zero!
he just amazed how good i am to keep a secret.. :)
Day 2
In the morning, we went to Sanur Beach by bicycle, free bike from the Hotel.. yeay,,as a freebie.. me love it !
So happy to have this experience, ride a bike with my lovely one. it's a lovely day in my birthday.
Sanur Beach took around 15 minutes from the Hotel. We just enjoy the ride !
Day 3
21st Feb 2012, we went to Padang Bai in the morning , we took fast boat named Wahana Gili Ocean . It took Idr 350K/person for one way. The marketing person from wahana is very friendly, Pak Kadek. We recommend for you, to take Wahana gili ocean.
Our boat took off from Padang Bai around 10.30 am. We're so exited !. We're very curious about Gili.. is Gili Island amazing ? is it like what people tell? arrrghh cant wait to get there !
Finally, touched down in Gili Trawangan.. it tooked 1,5 hour to get Gili. Yeaaaaaaaayy.. Gili ! the beach is breathless.... white sand and the sea color is turquiose..
This island has a fresh air, no vehicle, only bicycle and cidomo allow in here. We can see star at night and surrounding by beach. And you can find easily count local tourist in here, coz so many bule in here ! we suddenly feel like stranger in here.. hahhahaha
We stayed in Tir Na Nog hotel, i booked the hotel from Agoda . Not so bad hotel lah, around Idr 300K++/night. So many hotel, or villa in this island, you can just easily pick in here. If you want cheaper, try homestay.
This beach, has many bars,and resto. But we ate in traditional resto or warteg, it suites with our wallet :)
In the afternoon, we rent a bike, it cost idr 30K per day..
we surround the island by bike, and it tooks 3 KM away... wow.. tired, but so much fun !
Day 4
We only plan to take a tour by bike in this island. In the afternoon, we plan to take snorkling near in "turtle area". Snorkling rent cost 30K/day. Since i never do snorkling for my whole life, that part lil' bit hard, but i try to enjoy it, coz tomorrow we plan to take a snorkling in 3 Gili (Gili Terawangan, Gili Mano, Gili Air)
Excercice makes perfect ! come on Hesty, you can do it.
We can see liltle fish in colorfull color, and if you lucky, you can see turtle there !., and we're so lucky, we can see turtle there ! yeaay..amazing..
Day 5,
at 9.00 am we're ready to take snorkling in 3 Gili, it cost 100K/person. Tips: Dont forget to bring your snorkling equipment, sunblock, mineral water, and please do breakfast. They were like 20 person in the boat, and again, only 6 local tourist in the boat, the rest were "bule" . The trip start from Gili Trawangan- Gili Mano- Gili Air, then back to Gili Trawangan.
I think the cool place for snorkling is Gili Mano. We've been snorkling from 10.30 am - 2 pm. Only one word i can say, "AWESOME !"
Day 6
Last day for us. Our fligt were from Lombok, so we took public boat from GIli to Lombok, Bangsal Harbour. it took only 10K/person, and took around 30-minutes trip. Then from Bangsal Harbour, it took 45-60 minutes to International Lombok Airport, by taxi, it cost 100K.
